Job summary

Delaware North is seeking full-time Restaurant Cashiers at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. You will assist guests, process transactions, verify payments, and keep the checkout area organized while delivering friendly service.

This role offers weekly pay, flexible schedules including evenings and weekends, training opportunities, and benefits such as health insurance and a 401(k) plan. Prior cash handling and excellent guest service are valued.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with dining room, service, and kitchen team members to track orders, payments, and receipts, ensuring correct pricing and change.
• Count money in cash drawers at the start of shifts.
• Process payments and ensure accurate transactions and receipts.
• Maintain an organized checkout area and restock receipt paper and stationery as needed.
• Monitor restaurant tables orders using the venue's POS system.

What will you do?

• Collaborate with dining room, service, and kitchen team members to keep track of all orders, monetary situations, and charges, validating methods of payment, completing transactions, and providing accurate change, documentation and receipts, and dispense the accurate amount of if needed
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts
• Scan items and ensure pricing is correct, resolving discrepancies and processing payments
• Clean up checkout area and keep organized; keep receipt paper and other stationery stocked
• Maintain accurate tabs on restaurant tables’ orders using the venue’s primary point of sale system
