Job summary

Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast is seeking a Food & Beverage team member to deliver outstanding guest service in a fast-paced casino environment. You will operate the cash register, assist guests with inquiries, and help maintain clean, welcoming outlets across the floor.

You must be able to stand for long shifts, follow safety procedures, and work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed. The role emphasizes customer service excellence and teamwork in a dynamic entertainment setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Experience in food handling and cashier work preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Must be able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Weekend, night, and holiday availability.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and account for all monies, coupons, and receipts.
• Restock inventory using front line checklist and manage coupons.
• Track and assign seats per established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions; perform general maintenance tasks.
• Provide superior customer service and serve as ambassador for F&B outlets.
• Report issues to Management and ensure regulatory compliance.

• High School diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior food handling, cashier and/or attendant experience preferred. Prior knowledge of proper food holding temperatures and the ability to identify temperature danger zones and understanding the proper use of cleaning chemicals preferred but not required.
• Must have ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as scheduled.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to effectively present proper phone etiquette.
• Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
