Job summary

The State Group is offering a paid internship in Buffalo, New York, with the Future Leaders Program designed to develop tomorrow's leaders in construction, electrical, and civil contracting. Interns will work on-site during Summer 2027 with structured tasks and potential for full-time employment after graduation.

Interns will collaborate across departments, assist with research, planning, documentation, and reporting, and participate in a Capstone Project presented to company leaders in Buffalo.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a college diploma or university degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or safety.
• Completion of at least one year of post-secondary education.
• Strong desire to learn, contribute and grow in a professional environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow direction, manage priorities and take initiative.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the organization while gaining insight into how our business operates.
• Assist with research, analysis, planning, documentation, reporting and other responsibilities related to your area of study.
• Attend team meetings and contribute ideas, updates and solutions.
• Build practical skills through hands-on experience, mentorship and professional development.
• Network with other interns and participate in a collaborative Capstone Project.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
