Job summary

The State Group invites motivated interns to join the Future Leaders Program on-site in Evansville, Indiana, for the summer of 2027. This paid internship offers structured, meaningful work and the chance to contribute to real projects while exploring multiple areas of our electrical, mechanical, and civil contracting business.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a college diploma or university degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or safety.
  • Completion of at least one year of post-secondary education.
  • A strong desire to learn, contribute, and grow in a professional environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • The ability to follow direction, manage priorities, and take initiative.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen for US Internships.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across the organization while gaining insight into how our business operates.
  • Assist with research, analysis, planning, documentation, reporting, and other responsibilities related to your area of study.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas, updates, and solutions.
  • Build practical skills through hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Network with other interns and participate in a collaborative Capstone Project.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

The Construction Project Manager and Safety internships will be located on-site in Evansville, Indiana, during the summer of 2027. Please note that we do not offer housing assistance.
