Job summary

Urban Pathways seeks a Program Budget Coordinator to lead budget creation and financial analysis for multiple programs in New York City. Reporting to the Director of Budgets, you will maintain transparency and provide data-driven insights while working across departments.

The role requires collaboration with program leadership, strong Excel and financial software skills, and a commitment to equity and inclusion within a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a social service non-profit setting with state and city funding streams.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and internal controls.
• Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop annual and multi-year budgets for programs with forecasts of expenses and revenue.
• Analyze expenditure patterns and advise reallocation or adjustments for compliance and reporting.
• Ensure accurate recording and billing of program expenses; coordinate with funders' systems.
