Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a NSHE Specialist 2 to support the Psychology Department with faculty, finance, and human resources processes. The role includes fiscal management of state, extramural, self-supporting and foundation funds, and producing comprehensive budget and start-up data for leadership review.

You will supervise five classified staff, coordinate HR tasks in Workday, and assist with program reviews and accreditation data while collaborating with the Chair and College

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in planning, coordinating and administering a program or service.
• Or graduation from high school and 4 years of experience in planning, coordinating and administering a program or service.
• One year of NSHE Specialist I experience in Nevada State service; supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to faculty, staff and students and manage daily transactions.
• Prepare financial, analytical and forecasting reports for the department chair.
• Develop annual self-supporting budgets and allocate start-up funds.
• Oversee HR transactions in Workday and supervise 5 classified employees.
