Job summary

The Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) seeks a detail‑oriented financial professional to help manage the EMS budget, procurements, grants, and payroll reporting. You will align processes with BPHC policies and promote equitable procurement and anti‑racism standards.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with EMS and other departments, and ensure timely billing, reporting, and vendor payments while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with union terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; significant experience may substitute.
• 3 years of relevant experience in budgeting, procurement, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Support department's annual finances including procurement, contracting, program budgeting, grants, accounts payable and HR.
• Supervise team members and other department personnel as directed.
• Oversee procurement processes, bids, vendor management, and contract renewals, ensuring equity in procurement.
