Job summary

Montana Department of Justice in Helena is seeking a Budget Analyst Supervisor to oversee budgeting operations and fiscal management for the Central Services Division. You will maintain budget systems, review contracts, file grant reports, and prepare budget documents while supervising Administrative Specialists.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and several years of budgeting and supervisory experience, with full-time work and standard daytime hours. Telework is not eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or related field.
• Four years of directly related budgeting experience.
• Two years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain budget systems, policies, and methods for programs to follow.
• Review development, monitoring and management of contracts for goods and services to ensure project outcomes are met within budget and regulatory constraints.
• File grant reports and prepare and submit budget reports and documents.
• Supervise Administrative Specialists responsible for budgeting and fiscal management for their assigned DOJ division.
