Job summary

Air Force Civilian Service seeks a Full-Time Budget Analyst/Resource Advisor (GS-0560-09) at Robins AFB, GA. The role supports budget formulation, execution, and funding for operations, facilities, and research and development to sustain daily activities.

You will serve as the functional budget contact, perform analyses and studies, and advise on planning and procurement. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain the required security clearance are mandatory.

  • Financial Management Level 1 Certified per NDAA 2012.

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Budget Analyst/Resource Advisor (GS-0560-09) to work at Robins AFB, GA.

The 17 EWS is a unit standing up to assess electronic warfare and spectrum operations at the integrated level, including EW effects on the enemy, interference on friendly systems, and friendly signature in the EM spectrum. We operate with a cross functional mix of operations SMEs, intel, analysts, and engineers - as the resource advisor, you'll be the essential focus point of helping us plan, POM for, and execute operations & maintenance, procurement, and R&D funds to sustain daily operations, facilities improvements, and advanced communications. Looking for an experienced self starter to help us navigate the USAF finance system!

Duties
  • Serves as the functional point of contact for day-to-day budget/financial issues.
  • Performs budget formulation work involving review and preparation of budget estimates and financial plans.
  • Performs budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of funds.
  • Provides advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information and conducts analyses, reviews and special studies of budget and/or related information.
  • Uses budgetary and other automated system(s) and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting/funding assignments.

$65,271 - $84,857

Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
  • The work requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 1 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes to formulate, justify, and execute assigned budget in support of the mission, structure, goals, work processes, and programs of assigned activities/organizations.
  • Knowledge of automated data processing software programs and capabilities used to accomplish budget/funding tasks.
  • Skill in gathering, assembling, and analyzing source of factual information, such as that found in accounting reports, payroll records, work reports, or inventory and supply data.
  • Skill in preparing written forms, schedules, and reports related to the obligation and expenditures of funds.
  • Ability to make oral presentations on the budget, and conduct budget-related training to a variety of audiences.
