The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full time Senior Budget Analyst, GG-0560-14 at Fort Washington, MD.
Base Salary Range: $143,913 - $187,093
up to 40% telework possible
Looking for a senior budget analyst to provide strategic guidance to the SAF/OCB Enterprise on current and prior-year funding actions. Manages all phases of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) cycle, applying expert knowledge of Congressional, OMB, and DoD policies to set financial priorities. Directs multi-year, multi-appropriation portfolios (O&M, R&D, Procurement) and advises senior leaders on budget formulation for the Future Years Defense Program. Oversee budget submissions, compliance, and preparation of Program of Objective Memorandum (POM), Budget Estimate Submission (BES), President’s Budget (PB), Congressional Justification Book (CJB), Procurement Budget Justification Documents/P-Docs (PDOCS), and Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation Budget Justification Documents/R-Docs (RDOCS).
Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for; you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period. Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
(NOTE: Typically, the 1-year probationary period is for Competitive Jobs, and 2-year trail period is for Excepted Jobs.)
This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V3007.
