Tulane University in New Orleans seeks a Budget Administrative Specialist II to monitor and reconcile budgets and sub-budgets, assist with payroll and expense reporting, and train users on policy and procedures.
The role serves as a School resource for expense reports, uses Tulane’s financial systems, and supports annual budgeting while maintaining strict confidentiality of payroll and sensitive data.
The Budget Administrative Specialist II reports to the Assistant Dean for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and will monitor and reconcile budgets and sub-budgets as directed, using Tulane’s financial systems. This position will also assist as requested with accounting and some payroll, such as expense reports and procurement. The Specialist will serve as a School resource for expense report creation, submittal, and compliance, including training users on proper policy and procedures. In addition, the Specialist will assist the Assistant Dean for FP&A and the Chief Business Officer with the annual budgeting process for the school. This position may also assist students with billing questions/issues. This position also holds a Tulane Purchasing Card and Corporate Card and conducts business for many areas in the school. Strict confidentiality must be kept as this position has knowledge of sensitive data (i.e., payroll/salary information, employment files, and credit card numbers).
