Job summary

Narda-MITEQ is seeking a Business Unit Controller in Hauppauge, NY to lead BU Finance, Accounting, IT, and Compliance across US and international operations. You will report to the General Manager, partnering with the executive team to drive financial performance and governance.

This senior role requires deep knowledge of US GAAP, multi-site accounting, and strong leadership to oversee budgeting, audits, and financial reporting while advancing process improvements and system controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is required.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required; government contracting experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a multi-site or multi-entity organization is required.
• International finance/accounting experience, particularly with European operations, is a plus.
• Experience leading and developing finance and accounting teams.
• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition rules.
• Experience with multiple ERP and financial systems.
• Experience working within a publicly traded organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key financial and business partner to the GM and leadership team.
• Provide analysis to help leadership make data-driven decisions.
• Understand operational drivers and their impact on financial performance.
• Review financials, identify trends and variances, and explain results to businesses.
• Partner with Operations, Sales, Engineering, and Program Management on financial matters.
• Provide financial input on pricing, proposals, and major business decisions.
• Support the annual budget, forecasting, long-range planning, and business reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, productivity, and working capital.
• Provide GM with a clear view of financial risks and opportunities.
• Challenge assumptions when appropriate while collaborating with leadership.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

CPA strongly preferred

10+ years of finance and accounting experience

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience in a multi-site or multi-entity organization

International finance/accounting experience

Experience leading and developing finance and accounting teams

Strong budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial reporting
