Job summary

Montage Health Helen Baszucki School of Nursing at CSUMB seeks a BSN Program Director to lead the pre-licensure BSN program, manage BRN approvals, and coordinate curriculum with faculty, clinical partners, and community colleges.

This one-year, temporary position blends teaching, leadership, and program development to expand nursing education on the Monterey Bay and strengthen pathways for diverse students.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher with coursework in nursing, education, or administration (BRN knowledge beneficial).
• Active California RN license or eligibility for CA licensure.
• At least one year of administrative experience in a nursing education program.
• Two years of teaching in a pre- or post-licensure nursing program.
• At least one year of direct patient-care experience as an RN.
• Experience in curriculum development, program assessment, and nursing program operations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity in nursing education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development and implementation of the pre-licensure BSN program with School Chair, faculty, and partners.
• Assist BRN approval processes with required documentation and timelines.
• Collaborate with clinical partners to expand placements and pathways (ADN-to-BSN, pre-licensure BSN).
• Mentor students and support recruitment, admissions, and progression.
• Monitor operations and outcomes; support accreditation and governance activities.
