Job summary

Ross Education Holdings, Inc. is seeking a full-time Nursing Instructor at the Grand Rapids campus starting in winter. You will teach nursing courses, review lesson plans, and maintain accurate grade records within the Ross curriculum.

The role emphasizes small class sizes for individual student attention, classroom instruction, and active participation in externship activities, with completion of required coursework and adherence to professional ethics.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved registered nursing education program, BSN or higher.
• Must be able to teach in the classroom.
• Two or more years in the practice of nursing as an RN providing direct patient care.
• Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Michigan.
• Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.
• Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings.
• Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught to students and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum.
• Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment.
• Daytime availability.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in the Ross curriculum, review lesson plans and prepare for class instruction, grade and electronically record assignments, actively promote student retention, support externship activities as applicable, and perform related work as required.
• Nursing faculty Primary Instructors accurately record grades, successful completion of proficiencies and attendance by entering information in campus management software.
