Job summary

HAPO Community Credit Union in Kennewick, WA is seeking a Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Compliance Specialist to support the Compliance Manager in maintaining the credit union’s BSA/AML/CFT program. The role helps ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations and internal policies and requires discretion in handling sensitive information.

Ideal candidates will have excellent analytical, investigative and problem‑solving skills, strong organizational abilities and effective communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of related experience required.
• Strong analytical and investigative abilities.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of BSA, USA Patriot Act and related regulations.
• Learn BSA/AML/CFT software and related functions.
• Attend regulatory trainings and read industry materials to stay current on money laundering and terrorist financing issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect operations by sharing information on a need-to-know basis.
• Ensure compliance by enforcing regulatory requirements across the credit union.
• Proficient use of Excel, Word and Outlook and related systems used by Compliance.
• Apply basic math with US currency to practical compliance solutions.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions from diverse variables.
