Framingham Public Schools is seeking a BRYT Program Assistant Teacher at Framingham High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports students with special needs under a certified teacher in an inclusionary setting, assisting with daily instructional activities and student well-being.

The position emphasizes collaboration with clinicians and staff to promote equity and safe learning environments, including behavioral de-escalation and restorative practices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 48 credit hours from an accredited institution preferred.
• Proven experience with children/adolescents, particularly special education or multi-system involved youth preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Classroom management and daily operations.
• Assists classroom teacher with supervision, materials, and routines.
• Promotes a safe, inclusive, trauma-informed classroom culture.
• Works with small groups or individuals to reinforce material.
• Assists students with curriculum tasks and recitations without replacing primary instruction.
• Collaborates with school clinicians, coordinators, and BRYT staff for program support.
