Job summary

Snooze is seeking a Head Chef in Boulder, CO to lead a high-energy kitchen, maintain Snooze quality, and oversee safety, inventory, and labor costs. You will train staff, collaborate with Front of House, and ensure consistent, excellent breakfast dishes across menus.

The role emphasizes staff development, cost efficiency, and maintaining the WOW factor in Snooze food, while fostering a creative and inclusive kitchen culture that supports personal growth and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
• Have knowledge of food, beverage, and service with leadership experience (3+ years).
• Possess excellent basic math skills and can operate a cash register and POS system.
• Able to stand up to 10 hours, work 50–55 hours per week, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen functions including purchasing, storage, inventory, preparation, and adherence to Snooze standards.
• Train Snoozers in cooking methods, portion control, presentation, and safety.
• Collaborate with Front of House to ensure seamless service flow and guest satisfaction.
• Manage labor costs by scheduling based on forecasted sales and needs.
• Oversee safety, sanitation, and quality control for all kitchen operations.
• Support opening/closing FOH and HOH procedures and recruit and coach hourly staff.
