FreshDirect is seeking dependable Route Drivers to safely and efficiently deliver orders in the New York area. You will be part of our last-mile delivery team, ensuring orders arrive accurately, on time, and with excellent service.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of recent commercial driving experience.
• Valid New York State driver’s license (CDL not required).
• Clean driving record with minimal violations or suspensions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, mornings, evenings, and extended shifts.
• Comfort using smartphones and navigation apps for routing and work-related communication.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail.

The Role

FreshDirect is seeking dependable and customer-focused Route Drivers to safely and efficiently deliver orders throughout the New York area. As a key member of our last-mile delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring every customer receives their order accurately, on time, and with exceptional service.

Shift

Shift length varies depending on business needs, 8+ hours daily

• AM: Starts between 4am-8am
• PM: Starts between 12pm-4pm

What You'll Do

• Safely operate company vehicles while adhering to all local, state, federal, and company driving regulations.
• Load and unload customer orders with care, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent FreshDirect in a professional manner at every customer interaction.
• Maintain delivery vehicles in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
• Safely complete delivery routes in various weather conditions.
• Utilize smartphone technology for routing, navigation, and communication.
• Support a culture of safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

What You'll Bring

• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent commercial driving experience.
• Valid New York State driver's license (CDL not required).
• Safe driving record with minimal violations, accidents, or suspensions.

Salary

Starting Rate: $18.00 per hour
