Job summary

The Bronx County District Attorney’s Office (BXDA) is seeking an experienced Community Engagement Coordinator to connect with neighborhood residents and partners, educate on the criminal justice system, and support outreach initiatives. In this role you will plan and coordinate events, manage inquiries, and build relationships with officials and organizations to further BXDA’s community engagement goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with two years in community work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience coordinating events and working with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Represent BXDA at monthly precinct, community board, and other community meetings.
• Plan, coordinate, promote, and schedule BXDA events and conferences with partner organizations.
• Represent the BXDA in initiatives such as National Night Out and gun buy backs.
• Facilitate educational programs in schools for students and parents.
• Manage constituent inquiries and build community relations.
• Maintain relationships with officials, schools, clergy, and community-based organizations.
• Accompany the DA to public events.
• Assist with special events and projects.
