Job summary

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and active New York State Bar in good standing.
• At least 20 years of post-J.D. experience.
• Extensive management experience in a prosecutor's office.
• Experience in Queens community affairs or community relations.
• Experience planning and supervising large events.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Existing relationships with local elected officials and Queens community organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the Community Partnerships Division and supervising a team of staff.
• Advising the District Attorney on community event invitations and staffing.
• Developing and implementing public safety programming for the community.
• Reviewing complaints and safety concerns and making referrals.
• Serving as liaison between elected officials, community leaders, and the QDA office.
• Attending weekly/daily bureau briefings with the District Attorney and senior staff.
• Staying current on community issues and concerns.
