Role Specifics

The Merrill Advisory Group (MAG) Financial Advisor (FA) is a fully licensed, non-commission retail broker position within a centralized team providing brokerage services to UHNW Private Bank clients. The FA partners with Private Bank teams to offer Merrill brokerage capabilities, handling client engagement, investment advice, securities execution, and account servicing.

Responsibilities
  • Recommend and execute investment products and strategies suitable for clients' objectives and risk profiles.
  • Advise clients on investment and financial planning strategies.
  • Review and adjust client portfolios periodically to meet goals.
  • Provide ongoing client service tailored to client needs and sophistication.
  • Use consultative sales and presentation skills for client development.
  • Stay informed on industry and firm trends.
  • Complete mandated training and continuing education.
  • Collaborate with team members and specialists to deliver client solutions.
  • Adhere to compliance and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Series 7 and 66 licenses are required; additional licenses may be needed depending on the state.
  • Experience trading across multiple asset classes and implementing complex strategies.
  • At least 5 years managing a successful book of business.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong client service background.
  • Encouraged to pursue further professional designations.
