Job summary

Serve Freight is seeking a Director of Operations (Brokerage) to design and run the internal operating system powering a fast-growing freight brokerage. You will own SOPs, workflows, training, KPI dashboards, and cross-functional collaboration with carrier sales, AM, and track/trace, reporting to the Founder/CEO.

This role offers remote or hybrid work in Cleveland or Asheville, a base of $80k–$100k plus 15% bonus, relocation assistance, and rapid growth opportunities as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Strong process documentation skills and ability to build SOPs, training materials, and playbooks.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize end-to-end operational workflows from quoting to delivery, eliminating bottlenecks.
• Enforce standard load lifecycle workflows and drive process adoption.
• Design and implement SOPs, process maps, and playbooks to scale operations.
• Develop training materials for carrier sales and operations support staff and ensure adherence to standards.
• Provide hands-on operational leadership to carrier sales and ops teams and drive continuous improvement.
