Job summary

Expeditors is hiring a Customer Service Representative - Customs Brokerage to support our brokerage team in the Torrance, CA area. The role emphasizes timely processing, accurate data entry, and strong customer service within the customs brokerage function.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of brokerage experience, solid knowledge of US customs documentation, and the ability to work overtime. A high school diploma and fluent English are required, along with authorization to work in the

Qualifications

3–5 years of Brokerage experience required.
Understanding of transportation and US Customs documentation.
High School Degree or equivalent required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require visa sponsorship.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Must be able to commute to Torrance, CA.
Comfortable with numbers and basic math.

Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate operations while providing exceptional customer service in Brokerage.
Execute daily workflow and monitor department metrics.
Transfer declaration information from documents into the customs entry system.
Maintain accurate data for US Customs declarations.
Build and maintain relationships with customers and government agencies.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations at all times.
Track shipments and data transmissions to customs and agencies.
