Job summary

KABC-TV (ABC7) in Glendale, CA invites applications for a Spring 2027 Broadcast Technology/IT Intern. This hands-on internship offers exposure to live broadcasts, remote productions, and daily operations in a major market station.

Responsibilities include network deployment, hardware/software troubleshooting, and support for help desk requests. Students pursuing IT/CS fields gain practical experience in a fast-paced broadcast environment.

Qualifications

• Previous academic or work experience in television, technology and/or IT processes, troubleshooting and/or problem solving
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Operating Systems
• High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license. Operating a company vehicle is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Network, deploy and troubleshoot computer hardware and software
• Work on preventative maintenance, broadcast automation systems, and IP transmission systems
• Provide resolution and troubleshooting for help desk requests
• Install systems for a variety of technology at the station
• Work on remote productions including remote newscasts, and live community parades
