Job summary

Hearst Television in Maine is seeking an experienced General Sales Manager for WMTW and WPXT in Westbrook/Portland. You will lead a seasoned sales team to drive revenue across all platforms and set strategic direction for local and non-traditional revenue."

Reporting to the President and General Manager, you will coordinate with the national rep firm and work closely with promotion and other department heads to achieve station goals.

Qualifications

• Five years of broadcast sales management experience.
• Experience with transactional, new business, digital, and multi‑platform sales.
• Strong motivation and sales skills to achieve success.
• Ability to price, forecast, budget, and implement a clear plan and vision.
• Creative selling abilities.
• Related military experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage and guide an experienced sales team to achieve station goals on all platforms.
• Develop, implement, and communicate sales strategies and action plans.
• Manage the station’s inventory and rates.
• Meet with clients and advertisers to maintain high visibility in the community.
• Create and manage non-traditional revenue and new business projects.
• Communicate with the station’s national rep firm to set goals and objectives.
• Work with the promotion department to create sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and other department managers to accomplish station goals.
