Job summary

FOX News Channel in Washington DC seeks a Broadcast Production Engineer for its 24/7 live news environment. You will support on-air broadcast production systems and oversee studio operations, with responsibility for video walls, cameras, and control room subsystems.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in broadcast production, strong trouble shooting skills, and solid knowledge of SMPTE standards, Planar video walls, and NRCS workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in broadcast production and live television.
• Strong troubleshooting of broadcast equipment and systems.
• Familiarity with SDI and 2110 IP video/audio routing environments.
• Knowledge of SMPTE standards and broadcast workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support infrastructure for on-air broadcast production systems.
• Oversee studio operations including video walls, video processing systems, and cameras.
• Supervise live control room production systems and subsystems.
• Maintain infrastructure equipment (routers, intercom, monitoring, KVM, audio suites).
• Support off-site locations including White House and Capitol Hill.
• Track and resolve technical issues in a 24/7 live production environment.
• Maintain subsystems with software/hardware updates and replacements.
• Develop deployment and support documentation for operations.
• Collaborate with teams on production systems and technologies.
• Maintain legacy broadcast environments (pathbays, fiber, serial equipment, WFM scopes).
