OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY
Fox TV Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations across the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 DMAs and duopolies in 11 DMAs, such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Of these, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. The stations distribute sports, entertainment, and syndicated content, and produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news weekly, leveraging viewer, distributor, and advertiser demand for FOX's national content.
KTBC Fox 7, a Fox-owned station in Austin, TX, seeks a full-time Maintenance Engineer focused on customer service and teamwork.
The Maintenance Engineer will install, operate, and maintain video, audio, and broadcast equipment, including data networks (SMPTE ST 2110 standards), production control switchers, audio mixers, automation systems, routing switchers, server-based systems, non-linear editors, encoders/decoders, multiplexers, newsroom systems, media streaming, and RF transmission equipment.

Qualifications include problem-solving skills, knowledge of broadcast and network systems, RF and fiber optics experience is a plus, and the ability to work proactively in a team. Candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, and flexible. Preferred qualifications include experience in broadcast engineering and an associate degree in Engineering/IT or equivalent industry experience. Physical requirements include climbing ladders, lifting weights, and working in tight spaces. The role requires onsite work, a valid driver's license, and passing a background check.
