Job Description

KETV-TV, the ABC affiliate in Omaha, NE, is looking for an IT Manager to join our station. You will oversee IT operations and work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment. The IT Manager reports to the Director of Engineering and performs daily maintenance on computers, virtual systems, network infrastructure, printers, and provides user support.

Responsibilities

• Support user needs across all departments, including News, Creative Services, Sales, and Administration.
• Maintain imaging machines, update firmware, and manage hardware inventory.
• Provide technical guidance to end-users and support mobile devices.
• Maintain LAN/IT infrastructure, including installation and support of network hardware and software.
• Occasional travel to news bureau, transmitter, and translator locations.
• Analyze and implement corporate data backup, disaster recovery, and security procedures.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of managed network switches and architecture concepts.
• VMWare, Cisco, or Microsoft certifications preferred.
• Prior experience with a large user base.
• Experience in television broadcast setting preferred.
• Experience with networked, stand-alone printers, and digital copiers.
• Knowledge of enterprise and web-based applications, VPN, Cisco equipment, TCP/IP, subnets, NAS, LAN management.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service attitude.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server OS.
• Higher education in technology, SBE certification, or related military experience will be considered.
