The Information Systems Manager manages and facilitates various multi-disciplinary teams with complex projects in Clinical and Business Information Technologies. Responsible for planning, organizing, managing, communicating, and controlling the analysis, evaluation, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of complex and highly integrated computer-based application software projects. What you will do
  • Manage and coordinate requirements for assigned areas, analyzing problems and opportunities, and proposing innovative, cost-effective solutions aligned with business or clinical needs.
  • Oversee design, development, testing, documentation, and support of complex software, refining departmental standards and assessing organizational impact of technical changes.
  • Communicate project statuses effectively, consult with users, and ensure organized documentation of work.
  • Ensure data security, integrity, backup, and recovery procedures are in place; design and manage interfaces between systems.
  • Monitor system performance, ensure quality, and coordinate testing and implementation of system changes.
  • Act as a liaison with vendors and support organizations, managing projects and resolving issues.
  • Respond to urgent issues on a 24/7 basis, exercising judgment and coordinating resources to restore functionality.
  • Manage human resources effectively, providing performance feedback, coaching, and professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Formal Training Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Computer Sciences, or Healthcare.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in related fields.
Work Experience Requirements
  • 3-5 years in IT implementation and support.
  • 5-7 years in Information Technology.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Leadership skills in managing teams and resources.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment under stress.
  • Knowledge of application development tools and techniques.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel as needed.
Supervision Provided by this Position
  • Supervises Systems Analysts and other staff, including contractors and vendors.
Physical Demands
  • Requires good visual acuity for data analysis and computer work.
