NEP Group invites you to join our 12-month Engineer Apprentice Program in Pittsburgh. You will participate in structured technical rotations, learn from experienced engineers, and gain hands-on exposure to live productions and advanced broadcast systems.

From field shop to fiber optics, copper cabling, and systems integration, you will develop practical skills and problem-solving abilities while preparing for a career in broadcast engineering. Relocation after the program may be required.

Qualifications

• An associate or technical degree in Broadcast Communications, Electronics, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Formal training or hands‑on experience in electronics, broadcast technology, cabling, or IP networking is preferred.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and technical systems quickly.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to relocate following successful completion of the program.
• Ability to travel extensively—up to 100%—depending on the assigned role and business unit.

Responsibilities

• Field Shop: Equipment preparation, troubleshooting, maintenance, shop operations, and technical procedures.
• Fiber Optics: Fiber handling, termination, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Copper: Copper cabling, connectors, termination, testing, and broadcast signal infrastructure.
• Panheads, Sticks & Power Systems: Camera support equipment, panheads, tripods, and basic electrical and power distribution systems.
• Systems Integration: Equipment installation, wiring, configuration, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Systems Integration Road Assignments: Apply your technical knowledge alongside experienced NEP engineers in live production environments.
