Overview of Broad Based Campaign Manager
The Development Department at Purdue University Northwest isseeking a Broad Based Campaign Manager to join our team!

The Broad Based Campaign Manager develops and executescomprehensive annual giving and donor stewardship campaigns thatincrease donor participation, strengthen donor retention, anddeepen engagement with the university. This position manages emailcommunication, annual fundraising campaigns, Day of Giving,stewardship communications and donor engagement initiatives whileleveraging Salesforce Ascend to support data-driven fundraisingefforts. Maintain relationships with key stakeholders withininternal PNW business units and the Purdue University system toensure compliance with Purdue for Life Foundation data access andcompliance standards and implement ethical fundraising and donorengagement strategies.
Works in conjunction with Marketing and Communications staff toensure digital content aligns with institutional branding standardsand is suitable for a variety of channels, including the website,social media, alumni engagement newsletters, and othercommunications. Coordinates timing and deployment of alumni anddonor engagement content across Institutional Advancement andcampus partners to ensure consistent and cohesive messaging.
Duties and Responsibilities of Broad Based CampaignManager
Annual Giving Campaign Management:
- Manage and execute annual giving campaigns across multiplechannels, including PNW’s largest annual fundraiser, PNW Day ofGiving.
- Oversee and enhance PNW’s Day of Giving campaign.
- Analyze donor segmentation data and develop targeted strategiesfor acquiring, retaining and upgrading donors.
- Collaborate with MarCom and Alumni Relations teams tocoordinate messaging and outreach.
- Facilitate the retrieval and compilation of donor lists forstewardship communications and solicitation efforts via both directmail and email, guaranteeing the accuracy and currency of contactdetails.
- Track campaign performance and produce regular reports toinform strategy and demonstrate ROI.
Institutional Advancement & Salesforce Support:
- Act as liaison and specialist to development officers andadvancement personnel to provide donor cultivation and stewardshipassistance.
- Collaborate with Purdue for Life Foundation to ensurecompliance with data privacy and sharing.
- Build donor segments and communication lists.
- Manage the maintenance of PNW constituent dashboards, reports,giving links, and donor profiles within the database, asassigned.
- Management of one student position, including training,supervision, and assigning/review of work.
Donor Stewardship & Retention:
- Responsible for written and digital communication sent onbehalf of Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, and Assistant ViceChancellor.
- Stay current on trends in annual giving, digital fundraising,and donor communications.
- Draft and manage the production of donor-centric stewardshipcommunications, including acknowledgement letters, impact reports,newsletters, and thank you messages.
- Highlight donor stories and philanthropy impact throughstorytelling.
- Develop training materials and presentations to educateRegistered Student Organizations (RSOs) on effective fundraisingtechniques, compliance guidelines, and best practices to empowerthem to achieve their fundraising goals.
Digital Fundraising and Donor/Alumni EngagementCommunications:
- Oversee donor and alumni email journeys, ensuring theireffectiveness and relevance, while continuously updating,enhancing, and implementing new journeys and campus updates tooptimize donor engagement and stewardship efforts.
- Collaborate closely with various social media users andaccounts across campus to amplify specific PNW campaigns, fosteringengagement with new communities and individuals within thecommunity.
- Collaborate with internal departments to develop and implementongoing e-newsletter communication, educating PNW audiences insupport of strategic institutional initiatives and encourageengagement.
- Support fundraising initiatives specific to internaldepartments with development of assets such as event registrationpages, email communication, and reporting.

Education of Broad Based Campaign Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PublicRelations, Business, Nonprofit Management, or related fieldrequired.
- Master’s degree, preferred.
Experience of Broad Based Campaign Manager
- 3-5 years of fundraising experience, promotions, digitalmarketing and/or marketing communications required.

- Experience in planning, executing and evaluating digitalcampaigns, with particular emphasis on email, is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Marketing Cloud, or similar email platform, anduse of data extensions and dynamic content a plus.
- Demonstrated computer skills, particularly with MicrosoftOffice, Microsoft Teams, email marketing platforms, and relationaldatabases. Knowledge of Salesforce a plus.
- Knowledge of the principles of fundraising a plus.
