You will use Navigate, Slate, Degree Works, Cognos, and UniTime to track progress and support student success.
The role emphasizes proactive outreach to targeted student groups, documentation of interactions, and collaboration with campus support services to promote retention and academic growth.
The Student Academic Support Department at Purdue UniversityNorthwest (PNW) is seeking an Academic and Student Success Advisorto join their team. The primary purpose of the Academic and StudentSuccess Advisor is to provide individual, appreciative, andtransformational advising to students on matters such as selectionof major, course selection and sequencing, and academicperformance. The advisor is essential to impacting the retentionand success of Purdue University Northwest students. The advisorwill proactively reach out to targeted populations and maintaincurrent and accurate records documenting individual studentprogress toward degree requirements while utilizing resources tosupport and strengthen communication and outreach with the assignedpopulation of students. The Academic and Student Success Advisorwill also discuss with and refer students to the support servicesoffered throughout campus and consistently provide a positiveenvironment which assists students in their personal and academicgrowth and development.
