Job summary

The Alaska Humanities Forum seeks a Cross-Cultural Competence Bristol Bay Program Manager to guide AKHF’s portion of the C3 initiative, partnering with Bristol Bay Foundation, University of Alaska Anchorage, and Bristol Bay school districts. Based in Anchorage with travel, the role centers on rural education, cultural collaboration, and program leadership.

Reporting to the Director of C3 Programs, duties include budgeting, recruiting and supporting instructors and educator cohorts, coordinating

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating large in-person gatherings in Alaska.
• Facilitation and conversation design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience living or working in Bristol Bay is strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel regularly within Alaska.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with Bristol Bay partners and participants.
• Oversee recruitment and onboarding of a C3 course instructor.
• Recruit and support educator cohorts and coordinate travel.
• Ensure program meets grant goals and draft monthly reports.
• Manage contracts and contractors for the project.
• Support fundraising and development efforts for new programming.
• Lead design and facilitation of gatherings, virtual and in-person.
• Present at statewide education conferences.
