Job summary

Alaska Humanities Forum (AKHF) seeks a Bristol Bay Program Manager to lead the AKHF portion of the Cross-Cultural Competence (C3) project. You will collaborate with Bristol Bay Foundation, University of Alaska Anchorage, and four Bristol Bay school districts to cultivate educator cohorts and manage partnerships in rural Alaska.

The ideal candidate has experience in cross-cultural work, program management, and community engagement, with a commitment to equitable practices.

Qualifications

• Must support the mission of AKHF
• Commitment to equitable and inclusive organizational culture
• Experience managing rural Alaska travel and cross-cultural communication
• Understanding of the history, dynamics and challenges of Western education in rural Alaska
• Own transportation, driver’s license, and reliable vehicle
• Able to pass state and federal background checks

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with program partners and participants across the Bristol Bay region
• Oversee recruitment of a C3 course instructor and co-develop a course syllabus
• Recruit, build, and support a cohort of educators
• Coordinate and book travel for educators and AKHF staff within the Bristol Bay region and Anchorage
• Ensure program meets grant goals and draft monthly performance reports
• Perform data collection, project evaluation and reporting functions
