Job summary

WSP is seeking a Full-Time Senior Vice President, Structural Engineering - Bridges to be based in Sacramento, CA or any mutually agreed upon office within the United States. Provide national leadership to ensure high-quality structural engineering deliverables and compliance with safety regulations.

Lead the most complex bridge projects, manage budgets and staff, and drive the growth of structural engineering work for WSP in the assigned area with a focus on infrastructure opportunities and

Qualifications

• CA Professional Engineer license required or ability to obtain (multi-state preferred).
• 15+ years of post-education experience in engineering, structural/civil and infrastructure design.
• Extensive bridge design experience as a Structures Lead and Project Manager.
• Seismic analysis and design experience on bridges in high seismic geographies.
• Strong knowledge of relevant structural and civil construction laws, codes, regulations, and record-keeping requirements.
• Ability to lead large-scale discipline-related programs, documents, projects, and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive and strategic process and people leadership for the design, implementation, and administration of engineering discipline’s project and program involvement within the organization.
• Lead the most complex and largest scale structural engineering projects, managing budgets, hours, and expenses.
• Develop business and execute infrastructure work within geography for large projects.
• Lead technical aspects of contract negotiation, presentations, and meetings.
• Drive long-term strategy, growth, and pipeline development for structural engineering in assigned area.
• Ensure profitable performance and compliance with laws, codes, and policies.
