Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Vice President, Structural Engineering - Bridges to lead national- and multi-office bridge projects from Sacramento, CA or any agreed U.S. office.

This role requires guiding technical deliverables, ensuring safety standards, and driving innovation across the structural engineering discipline. The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience, CA PE license, and a track record of profitable project delivery, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth in infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of post-education experience in engineering, structural/civil and infrastructure design.
• CA Professional Engineer license required or ability to obtain (multi-state preferred).
• Experience leading large-scale bridge projects and seismic design in high seismic geographies.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for design, delivery, and profitability of large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Lead contract negotiations, client presentations, and stakeholder communications.
• Drive long-term strategy, growth, and pipeline development for structural engineering work.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and internal policies.
• Mentor and lead staff and project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
