Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions in Ohio seeks a Structural Design Engineer to join our Structures team. You will collaborate with Engineering and CAD to prepare submittals, drawings, and calculations for bridge products.

Responsibilities include structural analysis of bridges, integration with field sales, development of specifications, writing technical literature, and ongoing professional development. Qualifications include a Civil Engineering degree, EIT preferred, 2+ years’ civil project

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in engineering; Civil with structural emphasis.
EIT certification preferred.
Minimum 2 years of civil engineering project experience.
Proficiency with MS Office and Excel required.
Experience with AutoCAD, finite element analysis, and/or structural analysis software preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication; strong teamwork and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare engineering drawings and calculations for submittals.
Perform structural analysis and design of bridge elements (superstructures, foundations, retaining walls).
Coordinate with field sales and manufacturing on design, fabrication, and installation questions.
Maintain and develop specifications for Contech products; contribute to documentation.
Assist in writing technical papers and product literature.
Stay up-to-date with civil/structural engineering knowledge and certifications.
