Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions seeks a Design Engineer to contribute to structural bridge design for national clients. You will prepare engineering drawings and calculations, perform structural analysis, and collaborate with in-house engineers, CAD Techs, and field teams on Contech bridge products.

The role emphasizes hands-on collaboration on the shop floor, with opportunities for professional development, travel to job sites, and active involvement in product standards and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, preferably Civil with a structural emphasis.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license with a minimum of 2 years sealing work.
• 6–10 years of related bridge/structural steel design experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
• Experience with AutoCAD and finite element/structural analysis software.
• Strong written and verbal communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide design services and engineering drawings for Contech bridge products.
• Perform structural analysis of superstructures, foundations, and retaining walls.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to integrate products.
• Support manufacturing with technical guidance and QA of fabrication.
• Develop training materials and contribute to product literature.
• Travel to job sites for technical support as needed.
