Job summary

GovFirst is seeking a Bridge-Tunnel Operations Crew Member to support onsite operations in Hampton, VA. The role focuses on safety, traffic control, and incident response within HRBT/MMMBT facilities.

The ideal candidate will inspect and document vehicle conditions, coordinate with the Control Room, and assist public safety responders during incidents, while maintaining situational awareness and excellent communication with motorists and teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of traffic control operations and roadway safety.
• English communication skills; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and document vehicle inspections, violations, and incidents.
• Direct and control traffic using signals and verbal commands.
• Assist emergency responders during incidents and emergencies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain security presence and report suspicious activity.
