Job summary

Collier Engineering seeks an experienced Bridge/Structural Engineer to support the Transportation Design Department in Tennessee. The role emphasizes bridges, retaining walls, and transportation structures with Open Roads and other analysis tools.

Requirements include 4+ years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate with engineers, designers, and technicians. A Tennessee PE license is required or pursued, with a master’s preferred for advanced projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Transportation/Structural Engineering required.
• Experience in bridge design, inspections, and reporting.
• License: Tennessee Professional Engineering preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing highway and pedestrian bridge projects with project teams.
• Participate in bridge inspections for routine and complex structures.
• Prepare and review reports, designs, plans, specs, estimates, and contract documents.
• Perform structural design calculations and finite element analyses.
• Develop load rating analyses and bridge load rating reports.
• Assist in quantity calculations and cost estimations for bridge reports.
• Communicate with project team, clients, and review agencies to resolve issues.
