Job summary

Arcadis in Nashville seeks a Bridge/Structural Engineer to support the design and delivery of bridge and structural projects in Tennessee. You will contribute from concept through construction, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient transportation structures.

The role requires a PE in Tennessee (or ability to obtain within 6–12 months), 7+ years of bridge experience, and strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and Bentley tools.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
• 7+ years of bridge engineering experience.
• PE license in Tennessee or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• Experience with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.
• Bentley software: OpenBridge and MicroStation.
• Structural analysis tools: MIDAS/LEAP or similar.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred TDOT standards experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a design engineer for bridges and transportation structures.
• Lead, assign, and review work with technical guidance.
• Develop calculations, plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Evaluate design alternatives and apply sound judgment.
• Collaborate with clients and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and present technical reports and design deliverables.
• Coordinate across disciplines for integrated solutions.
• Mentor junior structural engineers on projects.
