Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to support a West Point, VA area project.

You will plan electrical and mechanical repairs, additions, modifications, and preventive maintenance on all equipment to movable bridges, while leading maintenance staff and coordinating work orders. Responsibilities include training others, installing and testing systems, and reading plans. It's essential to ensure safety, schedule work, and adapt to business needs with a proactive maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Possession of Electrical Journeyman's License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads, guides, and/or trains other electricians or maintenance personnel in applicable procedures and techniques.
• Installs and monitors performance of installed electrical and mechanical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
• Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical and mechanical equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
• Plans electrical secondary system additions or modifications.
• May perform work of lower-level electricians or maintenance mechanics.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Reads and updates electrical and mechanical panel schedules.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned to include mechanical and electrical duties.
