Job summary

US Facilities, Inc. seeks a Journeyman Electrician to support the VDOT tunnels project in Southeast Virginia. The role covers preventive maintenance, installation and repair of electrical and digital tunnel systems, with focus on field electrical work.

Requirements include an active VA DPOR Journeyman or Master license, ability to drive and work 24/7 shifts, and experience with 480 VAC 3-phase systems. Work occurs outside along interstate, with safety as priority.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Must have an active Journeyman or Masters Electrician License from DPOR in the state of VA.
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License.
• Flexible schedule (relates to a 24/7/365 operating environment).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, installation and repair of electrical components and digital tunnel systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components up to 480 VAC 3 phase.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics; diagnose electrical problems.
• Estimate cost, time and materials for electrical work; ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain and operate tools; inspect work for conformance to specs and safety codes.
