Job summary

The Beaver Excavating Co. seeks a Superintendent to direct, coordinate, and oversee construction projects across Ohio. You will manage crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet safety, schedule, and profitability goals and ensure quality work on every project.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, mentoring ability, and a solid background in plan reading, budgeting, and site management, with 5+ years in field leadership roles and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or construction management training is a plus.
• Experience in bridge construction or concrete structures is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in direct field work, preferably in management/foremen role.
• Expertise in plan reading, planning and understanding project specs.
• Prior training in office operations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Directs field forces, foremen and subcontractors to meet safety, schedule and profitability goals.
• Plans, coordinates and directs efficient scheduling of crews, equipment and subs.
• Maintains daily communications with project managers regarding job status.
• Attends and contributes to scheduled corporate and project meetings.
• Oversees foremen and crews, evaluates performance and addresses deficiencies.
• Reviews production and unit cost reports daily and discusses costs with project manager.
