Job summary

The Beaver Excavating Company is seeking a Superintendent to direct and coordinate construction projects, supervise field crews, and ensure safety, quality and on-time completion across multiple job sites in Ohio. The role requires plan reading, coordinating subcontractors and managing resources with daily communications to project managers.

Travel to various Ohio job sites, including overnight stays, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years direct field work, preferably in management/foreman level.
• Experience reading plans and understanding project specifications.
• OSHA 30-hour and First aid/CPR certifications.
• Ability to mentor others and lead field teams.

Responsibilities

• Directs activities of crew workers on construction projects to meet safety, schedule and profitability goals.
• Plans, coordinates and directs efficient scheduling of crews, equipment and subcontractors.
• Maintains daily communications with project managers regarding status of jobs.
• Oversees foremen and crew members; ensures tasks align with daily goals.
• Inspects work in progress to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
