Job summary

The Beaver Excavating Co. is seeking a Bridges/Structures Foreman to organize and direct on-site crew work across Ohio construction sites. You will ensure safety compliance and that work meets client quality requirements.

You will review plans, enforce safety policies, plan look-ahead schedules, and manage crews and subcontractors to achieve efficient, safe results on daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; construction training a plus.
• Experience in bridge/concrete structures preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour certification and First aid/CPR.
• Strong leadership and crew/subcontractor management.
• Ability to read plans and specifications; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Completes 2 week look-ahead to plan work with Superintendent(s).
• Enforces company safety policies.
• Conducts daily JSA to identify hazards and educate crews.
• Provides oversight to crews and subcontractors.
• Prepares manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractor schedules.
• Ensures quality of work performed by crews.
• Works with senior foremen to complete short interval schedules.
• Completes daily timesheets and field reports.
• Monitors crew efficiency and leads by example.
• Inspects incoming materials for quality and contract compliance.
• Collaborates with management, supervision and safety personnel.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
