Benesch is seeking a Structural Project Engineer for our Chicago, IL office, offering a hybrid work model (three days on site and two days remote). The role involves preparing structural calculations and models specifically for bridge design and rehabilitation projects. Candidates should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

This position offers a competitive salary within the Illinois Pay Range of $104,000—$124,000 USD and a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental coverage, 401K, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of bridge inspection, analysis, load rating and/or design experience.
• PE License preferred.
• SE License in Illinois or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review structural and geometric calculations for bridge rehabilitation.
• Coordinate tasks with Project Manager.
• Assure adequate independent QC reviews on design calculations.
