Job summary

Benesch Alfred & Co is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will possess a valid PE license and be working toward their Structural Engineer license in Illinois. This role includes preparing and reviewing structural calculations and collaborating with a team on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Valid license as a Professional Engineer.
• Working towards or have obtained Structural Engineer license in Illinois.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bridge inspection, analysis, load rating, and/or design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review structural calculations for bridge projects.
• Conduct finite element analysis for designs.
• Prepare bridge load rating reports per DOT standards.
• Assume responsibility for design calculation files.
