Job summary

Benesch is looking for a Structural-Bridge Technical Manager who will grow into a leadership role. This hybrid position is based in either Chicago or Naperville, IL. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in structural engineering, particularly in transportation projects, and will manage technical and project elements while mentoring staff.

The role involves key projects such as the I-39 Reconstruction Project and the 100th Street Bascule Bridge Rehabilitation. Benesch offers a competitive compensation range of $130,000—$175,000 USD along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years' experience in structural engineering with a transportation focus.
• Experience with IDOT, ISTHA, and CDOT preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable codes and standards governing the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and direct staff technical skill development while executing projects.
• Perform, review, and manage technical analysis and design.
• Communicate technical progress and issues to the Project Manager.
