Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Valid Class A CDL or obtain within first 60 days of employment.
• Able to work safely at heights with fall protection.
• Willingness to travel to job sites and work on-call nights and weekends.
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance, and repairs of railroad bridges, tunnels, culverts, and other structures.
• Repair timber bridges, trestles, and tunnel supports and replace structural steel members of bridges.
• Place and finish concrete surfaces and perform conventional carpentry work.
• Read blueprints to determine required materials, dimensions, layout work, and mark cutting and assembly lines.
• Assemble, cut, shape materials, fasten with appropriate fasteners, rig materials for hoisting, and operate company vehicles as directed.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment that may include diverse and extreme weather conditions.
